Let's travel back in time to the small village of Port Charlotte, where the Lochindaal Distillery had its whisky production between 1829 and 1929. It was here, on the western part of the dramatic island of Islay, that the history of whisky production in this magical place began.
When Bruichladdich decided to create a smoky whisky that celebrated this rich history and tradition, they named it Port Charlotte in honour of the village and the legendary distillery that once stood there. Tonight it’s time to delve into this smoky whisky and compare the old with the new.
We invite you to an exciting tasting where we explore two different aspects of Port Charlotte: the classic Scottish Barley and the more local Islay Barley. It is a chance to not only taste the exquisite whisky, but also to feel the wings of history and let its story envelop us.
