THE DALMORE
The Dalmore Distillery is located in the Highlands north of Inverness, it was founded in 1839 on the Cromarty Firth. The aging takes place close to the coast, which gives the whisky a unique character that distinguishes it from whisky aged further inland.
The bottles are dominated by the stag, which is the Mackenzie clan emblem. They were allowed to add it in 1263 as a thank you for Colin Mackenzie saving the then King of Scotland, Alexander III, from being impaled by a stag during the royal hunt.
This event has been portrayed and can be seen at the National Gallery in Edinburgh.
The Dalmore stands out in many ways, including the large proportion of exclusive sherry casks it has access to.
For almost 50 years, legendary Master Blender Richard Paterson has been the creative mastermind behind the brand and its products. The work has borne fruit and The Dalmore is today one of Scotland's most exclusive whisky brands. They have a long history of breaking price records at various auction houses and are ranked at the top of the global whisky market.
The name The Dalmore – the great meadow – originates from the Vikings who chose to settle in the area around a thousand years ago.

Fettercairn 12.
Dalmore: 12, 15, 18, Cigar Malt, Port Wood, King Alex
