THE SECRET SPEYSIDE COLLECTION WITH OLOF NOREUS at ARDBEG EMBASSY SAT 1 Feb 2025

We are very happy and proud to be able to invite you to a new edition of the tasting success from 2024, starting with a new exclusive tasting of the Chivas Brothers Secret Speyside series with Olof Noreus.

The Secret Speyside Collection is an exclusive whisky series from Chivas Brothers consisting of long-aged bottlings from some of Speyside's lesser-known distilleries which launch and have historically launched extremely few official bottlings. Glen Keith, unknown to most, is found in Keith in eastern Speyside, extremely few official bottlings have been released over the years and if you have ever tried a Glen Keith Single Malt it is probably from an independent bottler. Longmorn, a distillery a little more familiar and often highly praised among malt lovers but with historically few official Single Malt releases. Caperdonich Single Malt is not only very rare to come across, it is also a "lost" distillery that distilled its last new make in 2002 before the distillery closed its doors and was then demolished in 2011. This time we add another exciting distillery from the series to the tasting lineup, Braes of Glenlivet. This distillery, now called Braeval, is also extremely rare to come across through official bottlings and here are presented two very long-aged bottles of 27 and 30 years respectively.

We welcome Olof Noreus, Senior Whisky Brand Ambassador at Pernod Ricard Sweden, back to Ardbeg Embassy to guide us through this line-up from the Secret Speyside series and to take us on a lovely revisit around Speyside’s lesser-known side. Many of you will be familiar with Olof from before as he has many years in the industry as a valued tasting leader.
