Duel Loch Lomond - Glen Scotia!
We will try 4 different varieties of each.
Loch Lomond Distillery – By far Scotland's widest palette of flavours!
Loch Lomond is one of the most exciting distilleries right now. What makes Loch Lomond unique is the availability of different stills for distillation and the extra long fermentation (96 hours instead of the normal 48 hours).
The tall, straight boilers, with perforated plates that cool down the alcohol vapors, provide superior control over the flavor profile and the special fruitiness. Master Blender is Michael Henry. Loch Lomond has its own cooperage to ensure the quality of the casks. An innovative distillery with as many as eleven different styles of Single Malt/Grain.
Glen Scotia Distillery
The historic Glen Scotia Distillery was built in 1832 and has been in operation for almost 200 years. Located in Campbeltown (Whisky Capital of the World), the distillery has a unique pedigree. Campbeltown is the small town on the Kintyre Peninsula on the west coast of Scotland that still has three operating distilleries: Glen Scotia, Springbank and Glengyle. ”The whiskiest place in the World”! Glen Scotia was named ”Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year” in 2021 at the annual Scottish Whisky Awards ceremony.
Master Blender is Iain McAlister.
We try 4 different varieties of each.
