Four innovative whiskies from InchDairnie Distillery – Scottish engineering meets flavour precision
In the heart of the Kingdom of Fife stands InchDairnie Distillery as one of the most technically advanced distilleries in Scotland. With an engineering-driven approach to whisky craft, they have now launched four unique products on the Swedish market: RyeLaw Vintage 2017, RyeLaw Vintage 2018, KinGlassie Raw 8YO and KinGlassie Double Matured 8YO. All with the same goal: to push the boundaries of taste, texture and innovation.
At this masterclass led by Jens Tholstrup, Head of taste revolution at Inchdairnie, you will get to try all 4 of their first products as well as 2 products that Jens has selected himself. The tasting will be in English.
We will try these 6 varieties during the evening:
– RyeLaw Vintage 2017
A round and balanced whiskey with notes of vanilla, biscuits and dried fruit. Aged in new American oak from the Ozark Mountains.
– RyeLaw Vintage 2018
A more spicy and complex expression, giving hints of caramelized fruit, toffee and cloves. Aged in new American oak from Appalachian Forests
– KinGlassie Raw 8YO
A powerful whisky aged for eight years in American bourbon barrels. Harmonious smokiness and notes of malt and vanilla.
– KinGlassie Double Matured 8YO
An elegant smoky whisky that is first aged for five years in bourbon casks and then for three years in Amontillado sherry casks. The result is a velvety whisky with flavors of smoke, tobacco, almonds and nuttiness.

About InchDairnie Distillery
InchDairnie Distillery was founded by Ian Palmer and produced its first new make spirit on December 21, 2015. The distillery is located at the foot of the Lomond Hills in Fife and combines traditional methods with cutting-edge technology.
The core of their philosophy is summarized in the concept “The 3Ms” – Materials, Methods and Maturation – where each component is optimized for maximum taste experience.
The distillery uses, among other things, a Meura mash filter (instead of a traditional mash tun) and a specially designed Lomond Hill still, which provides an unusually high level of precision in distillation.
With a strong sustainability focus, InchDairnie uses around 30 % less energy than the industry average and consumes almost half as much water as other distilleries, well ahead of the Scotch Whisky Association's sustainability targets.
Since its inception, InchDairnie has established itself as a distillery that combines science, engineering and craftsmanship, and whose whiskies are created for the modern whisky drinker seeking new dimensions of flavour.
As always, a hot dish is included after the tasting.
