Welcome to a different afternoon on November 29th, where literature meets whiskey.
In conjunction with the book release of the novel The Consumed, All About Whisky is being offered together with Jan Groth, the author himself, for an exclusive whiskey tasting.
For two hours you get to go behind the scenes: how the book came about, why Speyside plays a central role in the story. Janne guides us through six carefully selected whiskies from – some well-known, others more surprising.
The tasting is rounded off with lunch and a conversation with Janne, who will of course sign your copy of The Devoured – the book is included in the price.
Emma Andersson from Allt om Whisky is also on site, and together with Janne we warmly welcome you to this unique experience.
About the author Jan “Janne” Groth
Many may already know Janne Groth as a well-known whisky profile in Sweden. Since 1999 he has held several roles in the drinks industry and has worked with brands such as Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Cragganmore, Talisker and Feddie Ocean Distillery in the Nordics. He worked for several years with High Coast (formerly BOX).
He was also one of the initiators of the World Whisky Forum, which was held for the first time in 2017 – a much-appreciated initiative in the whisky world. Today, Jan is also involved in and leads the work of the Nordic Whisky Collaboration, a collaborative initiative that brings together Nordic distilleries under a common umbrella to strengthen the region's place on the global whisky map. These are just a few of the things Janne has worked on in whisky.
As an author, Janne has written several books, including Whisky and Food, where he explores the fascinating interplay between whisky and gastronomy.
With his ability to weave together facts, history and passion, he is a captivating storyteller and a natural companion in the world of whisky – both in the glass and on paper.
Allt om Whisky is proud to invite you, together with Janne, to this unique and inspiring tasting, where we get to meet both the man behind the stories and his new novel.
