The Kilchoman tasting with James Wills

KILCHOMAN DISTILLERY is a farm distillery founded in 2005 by Anthony Wills.
It is located on the west coast of Islay and was the first new local distillery to be started in 124 years.
All parts of the production take place on the farm, where they also grow barley for the production of their unique 100 % Islay malt whisky.

In 2020, Kilchoman opened their new distillery, an exact replica of the original and located a stone’s throw away on their own farm. This means that capacity has been doubled and in total they will be able to produce 450,000 litres per year, which still makes them one of Scotland’s smallest distilleries.

At Kilchoman, neither chill filtration nor the addition of colouring agents is permitted and the whisky is bottled at a minimum of 46% alcohol by volume, all to maintain the natural character of the product.

Kilchoman exclusively makes malt whisky and no casks are sold on to independent bottlers.

On November 10th, we will be presenting seven different whiskies from Kilchoman for tasting, with James Wills as our cicerone. James is Sales and Marketing Manager at Kilchoman and will guide us through the evening's events.
